What is the best method to wash my new Tie Dye? To remove excess dye we wash all our tie dye clothing 4 times graduating from hot to cool water. We then tumble dry on warm. This makes them preshrunk and ready to wear. Please be aware even after 4 wash cycles there may still be a small amount of residual dye particles left in the fabric. To avoid color transfer We recommend washing your new item by itself for the first washing (just in case). These particles are simply left over bits of dye that did not bond with the cotton and will not affect the color of your item. This is NOT your tie dye fading. Follow the directions below for best results. Wash cotton or hemp dyed items in cold to warm water with other colored items. Tumble dry warm or, for an energy saving tip, hang it up to dry. Be sure to turn the garment inside out before washing. (this protects the surface of the clothing article and helps the fibers last much longer) Never use bleach on your tie dye. Note: Never use bleach on your tie dye. This will result in fading. Also, do not leave garment damp for long periods of time. This may cause bleeding in the first couple washes.   Will the colors fade or wash out? As with any commercially dyed clothing, over time any clothing article becomes dull on the surface and looks faded. A lot of this is simply damage to the surface of the cotton, caused by rubbing together with other fabrics. In order to keep the fibers fresh and bright, turn the garment inside out prior to washing (as many people do with jeans). Our controlled dying process ensures that the high grade Procion MX dyes are permanent and will not "wash out" over time. There is actually a process, that we apply, which alters the surface of the cotton fabric, enabling the dyes to bond deep into the cotton fibers. We then continue with the final treatment to remove and protect the colors from bleeding into each other and finally, complete the process with a series of 4 washings. The final outcome is a Tie Dye To Die For, or vibrant, permanently colored T-Shirt, Dress or what ever item you may have purchased, that will stay vibrant for years! Whether you purchase 1 item or 10, the cost is $5.95 (2-3 business days) within the US and Canada. If you live outside of the US or Canada, airmail shipping is $12.99 per order.  Please note: Items in stock are shipped within 2 business days of receiving your payment. Custom orders can take as long as 4 weeks to complete depending on how busy we are at the time and they do cost more, for obvious reasons, than the tie dyes already made and for sale on our site.  Keep in mind that no two items turn out alike, so your request may turn out a bit different than you picture in your mind.  We are always surprised when we unveil our creations.  Please e-mail us your request for custom work and we will respond with an estimated time of completion and a pricing quote. All custom orders must be prepaid.   How do I order? There are two ways to make your purchase: 1- We accept Visa and Mastercard credit card payments. When you find an item/items you would like to purchase, click on the add to cart button and then when you are done shopping click on checkout. Fill in your mailing address and credit card info on our secure server. It will take you through the whole painless process quickly and easily, just follow the directions. By paying with your credit card we will then be able to ship your package with 48 hours.  Please note: Your credit card will not be charged until your item(s) ship(s).  We do this due to time constraints on credit card payments and mail service time lines.    2- We also accept US money orders, checks and well concealed cash (at your own risk).
